Ex-Kent cricket secretary dies

FORMER Kent County Cricket Club secretary David Dalby has died at the age of 76.

Mr Dalby, a former chartered accountant, served the club for 11 years through to his retirement in 1990. He became a hugely popular administrator.

Mr Dalby, who was born in Bristol, served in India, Indonesia and Malaysia with the Royal Signals before heading for a career in the City.

He died suddenly. His funeral took place at Barham Crematorium. Donations, if desired, can be made to the Pilgrim's Hospice c/o John Kemp Funeral Directors, Whitstable.
